We're ecstatic that The TRUST FALL: Julian Assange - Documentary has been announced as official selection and also nominated for Best Documentary at the Playback International Film Festival. Their gala event will be in December in Tolbert, The Netherlands
This film was not made with winning awards in mind. We intentionally broke with convention in two main ways. Rather than do the usual strict chronological timeline and focus on the 'what' and 'when' we instead have a loose timeline and focus on the 'why'. Instead of the typical approach that a filmmaker is expected to take which is to be neutral, we chose to take an angle fully in support of Julian and WLeaks.
"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor."
- Desmond Tutu
The project is now nearing completion, however there are some crucial steps remaining before we can do the worldwide cinema release include making the all-important final trailer, a website, translating the film into many different languages, additional colour and sound grading, having the film classified, and entering the film into festivals in order to obtain distributers to help with the theatrical release.
