Uma das melhores performances de um show histórico. A interpretação de Why por Annie Lennox no DVD Party At The Palace é, sem dúvida, daquelas pra ver e ouvir, ver e ouvir e ver e ouvir. A ex-vocalista do Eurythmics arrebenta o coração da gente e dela própria. A música é belíssima, a letra muito contundente e vontade de dizer/cantar cada palavra deixa uma marca ainda mais forte na apresentação.
O DVD contém mais de três horas. É surtido. As apresentações aconteceram em Junho de 2002, no palácio de Buckingham, em Londres. O show histórico reuniu ícones da música para celebrar o jubileu de ouro da Rainha. Passaram pelos palcos nomes como Queen, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Tony Bennett, Ozzy, Joe Cocker, Annie Lennox entre outros.Um verdadeiro espetáculo que foi exibido pela BBC e foi visto ao vivo por convidados vindos de todas as partes do país. O registro foi dirigido por Geoff Posner, duas vezes premiado no BAFTA, considerado o Oscar da TV britânica. A transmissão é perfeita. Um case de sucesso. Limpa, ordenada, sem nenhuma falha. Perfeito.
